Native Australian pepper berries that can be used as a replacement to black pepper for a more lemony and peppery flavour. They are spicier than regular black peppercorns with a uniquely fruity aftertaste so you don't need to use much. Grown in Tasmania, they are also known as 'Mountain Berries'. They work in all recipes that require pepper, however, we mostly recommend to use them in curries and stews to allow the flavour to infuse. They can also be used to deepen the colour and flavour of marinades, sauces and vinaigrettes. Tasmanian pepper berries are even higher in antioxidants than blueberries! They contain vitamin E, zinc, magnesium and lutein (a compound that plays an important role in eye health). Store in an airtight container in a cool and dry place.
